1. What is the Make-a-thon for Migrants?

It is an online event where participants from diverse backgrounds come together, form teams, ideate and design solutions to problems identified by the organisers. These solutions aim to improve and provide services to migrant workers in India. Once these solutions are designed and tested they must be presented to the judges. Three promising solutions will be declared the winning solutions and those teams will receive financial grants and additional mentorship to take their solutions to their full potential - including working on their solution with  Aajeevika Bureau.

  1. Who are the migrant workers the make-a-thon is focusing on?

All migrant workers in India. Here is a data set of 2943 Migrant Workers in India -  providing their age, gender, level of literacy, family members, documents possessed, etc. Feel free to use this data set to contextualize your solution.

  1. What is expected from a participant ?

All participants are expected to work towards their team goals, abide by all the rules and maintain harmony and positive energy.

  1. Is this online?

Yes, at no point during the Make-a-thon is any participant required to appear physically.

  1. Do you provide a certificate for the workshop?

Yes

  1. Will the organisers make a team or will we make it on our own ?

Participants can apply individually or as a team. Those who apply individually will be paired up based on their responses to thes form.  Teams are encouraged to be as diverse as possible.

  1. What form do teams have to fill to participate in the Make-a-thon?

Teams and individual participants have to fill up this form. The deadline for submission of this form is Nov 8, 2021 11:59pm.
